Liability Waiver
Effective Date: March 7, 2026
Participation in activities at Balanced Animal Rehabilitation & Training Center (BARC) involves working with animals and physical activity. By participating in services, classes, events, or facility rentals, you acknowledge and agree to the following.
Assumption of Risk
Dog training, rehabilitation, and fitness activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:
Dog bites or scratches
Slips, falls, or collisions
Injury to dogs or handlers
Equipment-related accidents
By participating in BARC activities, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with these activities.
Owner Responsibility
Dog owners and handlers are responsible for the behavior and control of their dogs at all times while on BARC property.
Owners agree to follow all facility rules and staff instructions to maintain a safe environment for all participants.
Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and hold harmless:
Balanced Animal Rehabilitation & Training Center, its owners, employees, contractors, trainers, and affiliates
from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from participation in BARC services, classes, training sessions, facility rentals, or events.
Emergency Veterinary Care Authorization
In the event of a medical emergency involving your dog, BARC staff will attempt to contact you or your emergency contact.
If you cannot be reached, you authorize BARC to seek veterinary care on your behalf. You agree to assume responsibility for any costs associated with such care.
Agreement
By booking services, attending classes, or participating in activities at BARC, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this liability waiver.
